Hidden underneath my sweater is a humble t-shirt, fast becoming my go-to layering piece to add an extra barrier between me and the cold. Red pumps are a closet staple (and you can wear them with socks this fall when it gets too chilly). While the winter chill has definitely set in, it’s still warm enough to wear slingbacks and mules… as long as you layer up on top, that is. Whichever style you love, it’s worth getting it in red. Red shoes or boots are a super hot idea for any outfit they aren’t basic and they won’t match any look but they will make your outfit stand out. They come in different types, whether a skater dress, asymmetrical, a slip dress, midi, maxi, you name it. My mantra of late has been basics are best, and this is a pretty good reflection of outfits I’ve been reaching for lately.
